Low drive, flat mood, and fatigue can be testosterone. They can also be apnea, thyroid, or a brutal year. Labs in the morning tell you which conversation you are in.
Fewer morning erections, a sex drive that left, strength that dropped, irritability, and fatigue that a week of sleep does not fix. Some men notice almost nothing until a lab done for another reason comes back low.
Sleep apnea, alcohol, opioids, extra weight, and a low thyroid can push the number down or mimic the feeling. Treating the number and ignoring the snoring is how men stay tired on a full dose.
Morning, because the level falls later in the day. A 4 p.m. draw starts a false story. If you are already on testosterone, do not stop it the day before unless you were told to. The result means something different.
A single borderline number without symptoms is not an emergency. Symptoms with a clearly low morning level are a reason to talk about treatment, including the fertility cost. Say if you want children before the first injection.
