Refills that got stranded between doctors, rashes you can photograph, sinus and urinary questions that fit telehealth rules in your state, lab results nobody explained, blood pressure you have been half-treating, and the 'is this urgent or can it wait' moment.

Chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke symptoms, a head injury, a pregnancy emergency, uncontrolled bleeding, and anything that might need hands in the next hour belong in local emergency care. Do not book a video visit for those. Go.

The clinician tells you when a rule stops the visit short. That boundary is not the service failing; it is the part that keeps a convenient visit from becoming a careless one. If a site promises to route around every state rule for you, be suspicious of it, not grateful.

The medication list, the allergies, the specialists you already see, and the pharmacy you actually use are what turn a video call into medical care instead of a guess. A portal full of duplicates and a half-remembered dose is how two clinicians prescribe into each other by accident.
