Primary & Urgent Care
Same-day urgent care via telehealth.
Urgent care telehealth is for problems that should be handled today and do not need an emergency room: a painful urine infection that fits the rules, a rash, an eye that is red but not injured, a sinus question, a medication reaction that is not trouble breathing. If you are scared you might be seriously ill, go in person.
Symptoms you can describe or photograph, in a state that allows treatment without an exam, in a patient who is otherwise stable. The clinician will say if they cannot close the case on camera. That refusal is the safety.
Have a pharmacy in mind. Have the medicine list. A visit that ends with 'I don't know what I take' is how the wrong drug gets sent.
Chest pain, shortness of breath, one-sided weakness, a head injury, a wound that may need stitches, a joint you cannot bear weight on, severe abdominal pain, and a feverish infant. This list is not complete. When in doubt, local urgent care or an ER sees you faster than a debate about whether video is enough.
Controlled substances for a new pain complaint are not what this visit is for. Asking for a specific narcotic by name will end the clinical trust immediately.
The whole point of urgent telehealth is speed for problems that should not wait for a scheduled appointment but do not need an emergency room either. A urinary infection that fits the rules, a rash spreading since morning, an eye that is red but not injured. You get seen the same day and the case closes on camera or it does not.
If the clinician cannot safely finish on video, they send you somewhere that can. That redirect is not a wasted visit; it is the fast triage working. The alternative, forcing a diagnosis a camera cannot support, is how people get the wrong treatment quickly instead of the right one a little slower.
When a medicine is written, it goes electronically to a pharmacy you name, which means you need the address and, on a weekend, the hours. A closed pharmacy on a Sunday night is an avoidable problem if you check before the visit ends. Bring the medication list so the new drug does not collide with an old one.
What this visit will not do is send a controlled substance for a new pain complaint on demand. Asking for a specific narcotic by name ends the clinical trust immediately, because that pattern is exactly what safe prescribing is built to catch. It is not personal; it is the guardrail.
Treatment is provided through Jonathan Larson MDPC. Prescriptions require a clinical evaluation; medication is dispensed only when deemed medically necessary. Information here is educational and not a substitute for medical advice.
