Semaglutide by telehealth is a visit with a state-licensed clinician over video, local labs, and home delivery if a prescription is written. The medicine is not milder because the clinic is on a screen.
The screen does not change the drug
Side effects, follow-up, and the reasons not to prescribe are the same as they would be in a room. Telehealth removes the drive and the waiting room. It does not remove the need to tell the truth about pancreatitis history, pregnancy plans, or the other GLP-1 you started last month.

The boring technical part

Bring your history so the visit is not guesswork
The single biggest thing that makes a telehealth visit as good as an in-person one is what you bring to it. A clinician who cannot pull an old chart depends on you for the medication list, the surgeries, the pregnancy plans, and the last time someone checked your kidneys or thyroid. Vague answers do not just slow the appointment, they can hide the exact history that would change the plan.
That is why exporting recent labs, having your pharmacy and current prescriptions ready, and knowing your own numbers matter more on video than in a room. The convenience of telehealth is real, but it shifts a little responsibility onto you to be the reliable record. Come prepared and the screen stops being a limitation.
